{"id":1690,"date":"2017-07-04T16:48:18","date_gmt":"2017-07-04T23:48:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/?p=1690"},"modified":"2017-07-04T16:48:18","modified_gmt":"2017-07-04T23:48:18","slug":"buffalo-bill-cody-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/2017\/07\/04\/buffalo-bill-cody-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"Buffalo Bill Cody Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Road2Cody00017.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1719\" src=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/Road2Cody00017-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a>Sunday morning we headed over to the Museum.\u00a0\u00a0 What an excellent museum it is.\u00a0\u00a0 It&#8217;s 5 different museums under one big roof. \u00a0It took us a few hours and we just toured the Buffalo Bill, Plains Indians, and the Gun sections.\u00a0\u00a0 Bill was quite a character!\u00a0\u00a0 And I guess he must have been one of the first &#8220;hoarders&#8221; as there is so much stuff packed into that section, it&#8217;s truly an amazing exhibit.<\/p>\n<p>I was intrigued by the gun section.\u00a0 I had never, ever thought there were that many different types of guns.\u00a0\u00a0 The oldest was from around\u00a0 1609,\u00a0 a Blunderbuss, all the way to an AR16.\u00a0 Along the way are so many six shooters, rifles, shotguns and machine guns your head will spin.\u00a0\u00a0 There were even a couple of Gatling guns from the civil war.
