{"id":1640,"date":"2017-07-02T15:34:19","date_gmt":"2017-07-02T22:34:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/?p=1640"},"modified":"2017-07-02T15:34:19","modified_gmt":"2017-07-02T22:34:19","slug":"grand-teton-national-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/2017\/07\/02\/grand-teton-national-park\/","title":{"rendered":"Grand Teton National Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After a couple of days hunkering down while a few big thunderstorms passed thru Yellowstone,\u00a0 we decided to head down toward Jackson Hole and the Grand Teton National Park.\u00a0\u00a0 Come to think of it, I&#8217;m not sure why I didn&#8217;t write in the blog during that downtime.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Anyway,\u00a0 we headed toward the Yellowstone park entrance and traveled toward the south entrance which also takes you to Grand Teton NP.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It&#8217;s about a two-hour drive, you go past Ole Faithful and lots of other geysers along the way.\u00a0\u00a0 Its amazing how many geysers there are,\u00a0 you can really see all of them in the cold mornings due to the steam.\u00a0 In there afternoon you can&#8217;t see as many from the road.\u00a0 l guess its similar to seeing your breath when its really cold, but after it gets a bit warmer you cannot see it anymore.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/GrandTetons00013.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1671\" src=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/GrandTetons00013-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/GrandTetons00013-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/GrandTetons00013-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>The Grand Teton did not disappoint.\u00a0 It was truly grand.\u00a0\u00a0 I was so glad we drove there. \u00a0The views were magnificent!<\/p>\n<p>Both Yellowstone and the Grand Teton were not very pet friendly.\u00a0 We finally had to buy sandwiches at a deli and eat outside, practically on the parking lot a Dornans, as the pups were not allowed on any of the restaurants&#8217;
