{"id":1379,"date":"2017-06-15T21:55:42","date_gmt":"2017-06-16T04:55:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/?p=1379"},"modified":"2017-06-16T19:03:53","modified_gmt":"2017-06-17T02:03:53","slug":"durango-co-for-a-late-lunch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/2017\/06\/15\/durango-co-for-a-late-lunch\/","title":{"rendered":"Durango Co for a late lunch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While we were here, I wanted to see Durango. \u00a0 Guess I had some picture in my head from an old movie.\u00a0\u00a0 We drove around the town for a bit. \u00a0Kathy had never seen a tree-lined street before in real life, you know the type where they make a canopy over the road.\u00a0\u00a0 After poking around for a while, we headed over to the historic district to park to find a place to eat.\u00a0\u00a0 Durango is not a pet friendly town.\u00a0 Most joints with patios had signs on them saying &#8220;No Dogs.&#8221; \u00a0 I finally had to ask a local and he mentioned a place about 4 blocks up the street.\u00a0\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00001.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-1383\" src=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00001-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00001-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00001-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>We sat at a very small table that looked out onto Main Street at the Carver Brewing Company.\u00a0\u00a0 I had one of their craft beers and was underwhelmed,\u00a0 so I wouldn&#8217;t fill my growler there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00002.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1384\" src=\"http:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00002-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00002-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cowlesmountain.com\/Travels\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/Durango00002-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>We ended up at Steamworks Brewing Company on the way out of town and got a really tasty Belgian Ale for my growler.\u00a0\u00a0 Can&#8217;t wait to put some in my frozen pint glass!
